Back to Mordheim, with an update to my Tileans warband, including new models and some refinements to the existing crew. Additionally, I've added a couple of scratch-built bits of scenery to my Mordheim setup. Pics and more below the jump.

Welcome to part 2, and the completion of the Host of Hazurbanipal IV! In part 1, I focused on the earlier part of the dynasty. The monarchs of that time are identifiable by their winged helmets and long robes. Over time, these would fall out of fashion - chainmail would be replaced with round scale mail, and pointed or stalked helmets would become the norm. Let's look at the later dynasty, which contains mostly new models...
A one-off non-warband model for Mordheim - this Warlock is a Hired Sword who can tag along with anyone who'll pay for his services (apart from the Witch Hunters who want him dead). This was a fun kitbash with a mix of kits from throughout the last 20 years, including one very very old head.
I recently read the rules for Necropolis for the first time, and was inspired by its grim vision of a dark fantasy world of undead. I love rules for building a warband, so I dug into Necropolis's versatile list of undead characters and was inspired to build a hulking Ascended Undead. In fact the enthusiasm for making something really grim and gribbly caught me, and I bashed this monstrosity together over the course of about two consecutive days. More photos and WIP below the jump...
Soon after finishing the rest of the Necron group project, I finally managed to source the pieces for an Overlord kitbash I had planned. Process and tons more pic below the jump...
A one-off project and a study in rendering materials. This is a little one-off experiment in a non-conventional depiction of a Space Marine. Pics and process below the jump.
Finally a finished project to show off! I started a small Cities of Sigmar force last year with the release of the box set, and here's the first thing ready to blog about. Read on below the jump for more about the Wreck of the Saint Erasmus.
Blasting back into blogging with the ferocity of a tank-mounted daemon. I hope this smashbashed Blades of Khorne Herald of Khorne on Blood Throne will make up for my long absence.
I've been adding to one of my favourite running projects, my Beasts of Chaos gang. Now I've completed the second unit of Ungors and added a Smashbash monster and some fantastic new metal sculpts from Gardens of Hecate and Andrew May Meridian Miniatures. More pics below the jump.
I'm picking up a project I started last year - some truly wretched Beasts of Chaos. The goal was always to make two ten-strong units of Ungors with accompanying heroes and a Herdstone. This month I'm working on finishing that second Ungor unit, with a few extra curveball conversions. Plenty more pictures and a deep dive into the process below the jump...
Continuing my skeleton-heavy Soulblight army, here's a unit of converted Grave Guard. Details about the conversion process below the jump.
This year's big project is a Soulblight Gravelords army for Age of Sigmar that's heavy on the skeletons. If you've been following me on Instagram, you'll have seen all my work in progress pictures on there. It's been a while since I posted something on this blog, so here's a bumper post of completed skeleton units of all types. Lots more pics below the jump...
A centerpiece for my Beasts of Chaos project, and the first piece of terrain I've worked on! More pics and background below the jump...
One of my favourite projects is the Necron warband I made for #Kitbashember 2018. In fact I enjoyed making them so much that after making something for each of the #Kitbashember prompts I went right ahead and made another model. At the time I even had a couple more ideas that I never got round to, and finally I've found the time and the right bits to make them work. Here's some new Necrons.
