I'm picking up a project I started last year - some truly wretched Beasts of Chaos. The goal was always to make two ten-strong units of Ungors with accompanying heroes and a Herdstone. New Necrons

One of my favourite projects is the Necron warband I made for #Kitbashember 2018. In fact I enjoyed making them so much that after making something for each of the #Kitbashember prompts I went right ahead and made another model. At the time I even had a couple more ideas that I never got round to, and finally I've found the time and the right bits to make them work. Here's some new Necrons.

Let's say it counts as a Lychguard, which- according to Games Workshop- "are the wardens of the nobility, said to be utterly dedicated to their charges. While most Necrons wear a suit of living metal, the Lychguard wear huge suits of ancient armour."

Mordheim Beasts of Chaos – done for now

Well I got most of the way through this side project and I realised I've done all I wanted with it. That is: write an all-Beasts Mordheim list and make some cool Beastmen. I've built five of the seven models in the list. I didn't make the magister and second ungor (officially a mutant with cloven hooves). The painting on the completed models is only around 80% done and I'm going to put them aside for now. I might come back to it another time but my neglected Relic Lizardmen are calling out to me.

With the renewed buzz around Mordheim and the new Beasts of Chaos release I've taken the opportunity to have a break from painting my Relic Lizardmen and delve back into Mordheim to make something very Chaotic indeed.
