Space Slann

This one's been a long time coming. Inspired by @court_of_the_yellow_king's #RogueTrader28 idea, I started kitbashing this group of Space Slann in early 2023. A lot of setbacks and breakthroughs happened in that time. Finally they're finished (mostly). More pics, background and homebrew Slann lore below the jump...

Harlequins - The Path of Gracelessness

Kicking off 2022 with a strange little project - a slightly crazy idea that I wanted to get done in one quick streak before the inspiration vanished. Here's a small squad of Aeldari Harlequins. More pictures and background below the jump.

Age of Sigmar Moon Aelf Skywarden

With a new #28magchallenge starting, I put in the time to finish the last remaining model in the Moon Aelves project I made for the last challenge. Faeries from the moon of course need a craft to ferry them down to the Mortal Realms, so here's a flying boat. More pics after the jump.

Age of Sigmar Moon Aelves part 3

In time for the #28magchallenge deadline, here is my complete Ian Miller inspired force of Moon Aelves, descended from the wandering moon Celine to steal the breaths of mortal folk.

Age of Sigmar Moon Aelves part 2

Dropping an update on my #28magchallenge entry. Two specialised units of Moon Aelves and their leader are assembled and ready for a closeup.

Age of Sigmar Moon Aelves for #28magchallenge

The Bad Moon is not the only strange celestial body that orbits the Mortal Realms. As the Idoneth come from the depths of the sea, the Moon Aelves descend from the wandering moon Celine, walking through the air as though totally weightless. Like the Idoneth raid the land for mortal souls, the Moon Aelves come for the breaths of mortals, capturing them in silver phials or clouding cold silver mirrors with them. Of course last breaths are desirable above all...

40k Blanchitsu Dark Eldar

Of course I had to follow up last week's Good Eldar with a Bad Eldar. Scratchbuilt again from an even more depleted bits box. I went easier on myself this time and didn't stick to a two day deadline. Like last time the build was real ad hoc.

Process and more pics below the jump…

40k Blanchitsu Eldar

Here's a little one-off project, and the most Blanchitsu model I've built. I set myself the challenge of scratch-building a model in one day and painting it the next, and this is the result. Having not made anything (A)elfy before I wanted to make a real alien-looking being. It was gonna be a Dark Eldar at the start, but the build process was improvised and the model got more ambiguously Aeldari as it developed. By the time I added the Bretonnian horse-shaped helm the model looked more like an Aeldari Dire Avenger than a Drukari Bad Guy, so Aeldar xe is.
