Primaris Space Wolves part 5: Intercessor Squad Thorberg

A second five-person squad of Intercessors with assault bolters. This brings my fledgling Space Wolves force up to just over 500 points. More pics below the jump.

Squad Thorberg has the same loadout as Squad Hervaðr. To distinguish the two squads, Thorberg's weapon casings are painted with a chipped white paint effect in contrast to Hervaðr's scratched black casings. Both schemes are used on weaponry on my Redemptor Dreadnought and I plan to use them for most other weapons in the project. It's useful to have a couple different reusable colour schemes to add variety elements like this.

I'm pleased with how the dreads from a Dark Eldar model fitted this head. This one's single-handedly keeping up the Space Wolves' reputation for being hairy

A couple of Intercessors in this squad got heads from Eliminators. It looks like they're equipped with retractable weatherproof hoods, which also suggests the other Intercessors might have similar gear folded away into their armour. In avoiding the typical snowy base style for Space Wolves I'm putting them instead into an environment of black volcanic mud, suggesting a tundra in thaw season. Their armour is dirty and streaked with humidity and these rain hoods help to add to that vibe.

This one's bulging eyes and fixed snarl suggest he's on his way to succumbing to the Wulfen curse.

A closer view of the white gun casing.

The sergeant wearing a nifty rain hood and goggles.

A different stone colour for this hammer head than the Hervaðr sergeant's marble one.
