Millennia ago, Iufni had noticed no interruption of her watch during the Ascension. In fact she had remained standing entirely still that day, as she had the day before that, and the day before that. The day before that she had eaten and drank, and it would transpire to be the last day she would do so. She would not notice. She would never remove her gigantic suit of ceremonial armour again.
Millennia after that, Iufni would continue to watch Nakhtnebtepnefer.
